You may be entitled to a Warm Front grant even if you're not yet getting any qualifying benefits. A check will be done to see if you're eligible for benefits and so a Warm Front grant.
How much do I get?You can get between £2,700 and £4,000 (if your home needs oil central heating).What can the grant be used for

How will I apply?You can find out if you qualify for a Warm Front grant over the phone, polar warm will be happy to assist you in finding out. You will need to complete an application form and a Home Energy Adviser may have to visit you to assess and recommend work for your property.I live in Wales! Am I eligible?Warm Front Grants are available in England only. In Wales the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme in Wales (HEES Wales) provides a grant to make your home warmer, more energy efficient, safer and more secure. For more information, click here.How long does it take to install cavity wall insulation?The insulation foam is injected into the cavity from the outside, typically taking two or three hours. All cavity wall installations are backed by a 25 year independent guarantee from CIGA, The Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency.I am a landlord, what am I entitled to?It is the occupier of a property that is entitled to an insulation grant as they pay the fuel bills. If your tenants are aged 70 or over, or they receive a qualifying benefit / tax credit, you will not have to pay anything towards the cost of insulation. As a private landlord, your only requirement is to give written permission prior to works being carried out. If your tenants only qualify for a partial grant, it is the tenant who should contribute the remainder. However, as they are often reluctant to pay, there are further tax incentives available.Will the value of my house increase?Yes! - Both loft insulation and cavity wall insulation are considered to be a home improvement and it instantly adds value to your home. Installing Cavity Wall Insulation & Loft Insulation also makes it easier to sell your home, especially with the introduction of the new Home Information Packs (HIPs).Does Insulation help the environmentYes - Burning fossil fuels allows Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to escape into the atmosphere, therefore contributing to global warming. A poorly insulated home allows heat to escape through the walls and roof, so more fossil fuel is burned to compensate for the escaping heat.How long doe it take to install Loft InsulationLoft insulation usually takes a couple of hours to install.
